Starting out as "P.J and S.J Gray Electronics" in 1981, Ampworks began it's history as a repair and installation company, repairing household appliances, hi-fi's, guitar amplifiers, and also installing television aerials, public address amplifiers (P.A.'s) and home security systems. The business was started and is still run by, Peter "Pedro" Gray, a dedicated musician and avid electronics fan, and his wife, Sheryn Gray. Over the years, Ampworks has been a big part of the local music scene, "doing the gig" for local events, playing music with the Powerhouse Blues Band, lending a hand at Gippsland FM, as well as participating in many charitable events.
In 1996, P.J and S.J Gray Electronics changed it's name to Ampworks, to better reflect the company's services. Household appliance repairs, aerial installation and security system repairs were shelved to allow the company to focus on audio productions.
Ampworks is a locally owned and operated business, proudly established by the Gray family in Churchill, Victoria and still prides itself on friendly and helpful service to the people of the Latrobe Valley and Gippsland.
